Our 2021 'People of Peace Awards' winners

We asked for nominations from across the world for our 2021 awards; with a high standard of truly inspiring nominations, it was a tough decision. All nominations were anonymously reviewed by a panel who agreed our three winners! You can read more about them below. These winners will have their photo and part of their story on display at Strawberry Field for the next year. We thank Paul Beesley, Charlie Roberts, and Major Kathy Versfeld for being the judges.

Captain Louse Brown said:

"This year has again been one of challenge and uncertainty, and we were so pleased to be able to ask people from all over the world to think about someone they know who is a person of peace. We want to celebrate individuals who make a difference just where they are, particularly in these difficult times. This year our judges had some difficult decisions to make, but we are so pleased to be able to share the story of Clarissa, Sandra, and soon to be shared – our international winner. Let’s go on celebrating all the good in this world!"

“The plan to open Strawberry Field to the public for the first time - so people can see a unique exhibition about the home, how and why the song was written by John, and allow visitors to explore the grounds as John did as a child - is very exciting.”
