Steps at Strawberry Field

Are you looking for the next step in life? Then join us at 'Steps at Strawberry Field'

Our Steps at Strawberry Field programmes offer a wide range of accessible training to people aged 18+. Made up of four individually tailored programmes, providing employment skills, work experience, and opportunities to volunteer, the scheme creates opportunities for people across the city, all with individual support provided by a dedicated Employment Development Co-ordinator.

Our goal is to help people to realise their career aspirations. Previously Steps to Work was only available to those aged 18-25, but we have recognised the need to increase the portfolio of programmes, which are now open to those of all ages who may have learning difficulties or other barriers to employment.

Alongside our foundational Steps to Work programme, the Steps at Strawberry Field scheme includes ‘Steps to Work lite’, a more condensed version of the original Steps to Work, ‘Steps to Volunteer’, for those who want to take the next step in their volunteering journey and receive a formal qualification, and ‘Recycles’, a hands on programme based at the Recycles project in Liverpool City Centre.

“The plan to open Strawberry Field to the public for the first time - so people can see a unique exhibition about the home, how and why the song was written by John, and allow visitors to explore the grounds as John did as a child - is very exciting.”
