Exciting Grant Boost for new Strawberry Field Development

LIVERPOOL, FEBRUARY 17, 2019, Anniversary of the UK release of Beatles hit song ‘Strawberry Fields Forever’ - A generous grant donation of £100,000 from philanthropic charity, The Wolfson Foundation has been greatly received by owners of the site, The Salvation Army.
Strawberry Field, the iconic location immortalised in The Beatles hit, ‘Strawberry Fields Forever’, is scheduled to open this summer after a major redevelopment of the grounds which will see the famous red gates opened to the public for the very first time.

JOHN Lennon fans can today claim their place in the face of the legend as plans were announced to create a giant photomosaic of the world famous Beatle’s face as part of a new visitor exhibition opening in summer 2019.
Strawberry Field, the iconic site immortalised in the Beatles hit, Strawberry Fields Forever, is owned by The Salvation Army who are developing the site which will open in summer 2019.
Strawberry Field Trainees Take First Steps into Work

Young adults with learning disabilities will gain skills and experience to help them onto the career ladder thanks to a flagship scheme developed by The Salvation Army in partnership with The City of Liverpool College and local employers. The first cohort of eight trainees will join the programme on 15th October 2018.
